The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Web Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, testing, and optimization of Little Burgundy’s digital commerce ecosystem.

This is a junior role for someone who is highly detail-oriented, technically curious, proactive, and comfortable working across websites, marketing platforms, integrations, agencies, and internal technology teams.

You will play an important role in ensuring that website enhancements, platform updates, integrations, and digital initiatives are properly scoped, documented, tested, and launched. You will also help us get more value from our existing technology by identifying opportunities to improve functionality, processes, customer experience, and platform usage.

The ideal candidate does not need to be a developer, but should be comfortable working in a technical environment, investigating problems, understanding how systems connect, and communicating clearly with developers and technical partners.

How You Will Make an Impact:

Web Operations & Technical Project Support

  • Support the day-to-day management, maintenance, and optimization of the Little Burgundy website and digital commerce platforms.
  • Act as a key liaison between Little Burgundy, the Journeys Marketing Technology team, our Virid development agency, OMS partners, IT teams, and other technical vendors.
  • Stay informed on technology updates, new capabilities, releases, and projects across the broader organization and identify opportunities that could be relevant for Little Burgundy.
  • Coordinate website enhancements, technical requests, bug fixes, and platform updates from initial request through testing and deployment.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of website functionality, business rules, integrations, and platform dependencies.
  • Monitor open technical issues and support tickets and proactively drive them toward resolution.
  • Escalate risks, blockers, defects, or launch concerns early and clearly.

Jira & Requirements Management

  • Create and manage clear, complete Jira tickets for website enhancements, technical issues, bugs, and new functionality.
  • Gather the necessary information from internal teams and technical stakeholders before submitting development requests.
  • Document business requirements, acceptance criteria, dependencies, expected behavior, testing scenarios, and supporting assets.
  • Ensure tickets contain enough information for development teams to action without unnecessary back-and-forth.
  • Track Jira tickets through development, QA, deployment, and post-launch validation.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders on progress, timelines, dependencies, and outstanding issues.

QA, UAT & Site Testing

  • Own User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for website enhancements and technical releases before deployment.
  • Develop and follow thorough QA processes across desktop, mobile, browsers, customer states, and relevant devices.
  • Test complete end-to-end customer journeys rather than individual functionality in isolation.
  • Conduct regression testing when changes could affect existing site functionality.
  • Validate promotional logic, loyalty functionality, customer experiences, integrations, links, tracking, content, and business rules.
  • Clearly document defects with reproducible steps, screenshots, expected behaviour, and relevant technical information.
  • Complete post-launch validation to ensure changes are functioning as expected in production.
  • Continuously improve QA processes and testing documentation to reduce errors and rework.

Marketing Tech & Platform Support

  • Support the ongoing management and optimization of platforms including MA, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Zeta/Loyalty, and other digital commerce and marketing technologies.
  • Develop an understanding of how our platforms connect across ecommerce, CRM, loyalty, customer data, order management, and other integrations.
  • Help troubleshoot cross-platform issues and determine where problems may be originating.
  • Support SFMC execution, including email templates, personalization, content updates, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Monitor platform updates, releases, integrations, and changes that could impact the customer experience or business operations.
  • Partner with CRM, Analytics, Ecommerce, IT, and external vendors on platform implementations and technical projects.
  • Help ensure Little Burgundy is fully leveraging its technology investments and identify opportunities to increase platform adoption, efficiency, customer value, and ROI.

Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Proactively identify site issues, friction points, technical limitations, and opportunities to improve the digital customer experience.
  • Use analytics, testing results, customer behavior, and QA findings to validate outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Challenge existing processes when there is an opportunity to make them more efficient or reliable.
  • Identify opportunities to better leverage current platform functionality before introducing new tools or processes.
  • Stay curious about ecommerce and marketing technology developments and bring relevant ideas forward to the team.
  • Help build documentation, testing standards, platform knowledge, and repeatable processes that improve the team's overall operational efficiency.

Experience and Skills You'll Bring:

  • 1–3 years of experience in ecommerce, web operations, marketing technology, digital operations or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to testing and quality assurance.
  • Highly reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple requests and priorities at the same time.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to independently follow tasks and issues through to resolution.
  • Comfortable investigating problems, asking the right questions, and working through ambiguity.
  • Ability to understand how multiple platforms, systems, and integrations work together.
  • Experience writing technical requirements, Jira tickets, user stories, acceptance criteria, or QA test cases is an asset.
  • Experience with ecommerce platforms, CRM platforms, loyalty programs, or marketing technology is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is considered a strong asset.
  • Basic working knowledge of HTML and CSS, with enough understanding to troubleshoot issues and make simple updates.
  • Basic familiarity with JavaScript and web development concepts is an asset. Development expertise is not required.
  • Comfortable testing websites using browser developer tools and across different browsers and devices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly when translating business needs into clear technical requirements.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with developers, agencies, marketers, analysts, and technical teams.
  • Able to adapt quickly as priorities change while maintaining accuracy and follow-through.
  • Curious, proactive, and motivated to continuously improve how technology is being used.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means becoming a trusted operational and technical partner for the Ecommerce team. Website and technology requests are clearly documented, thoroughly tested, and successfully launched. Issues are identified early and actively managed through resolution. Stakeholders have visibility into the status of projects and risks, and fewer problems require rework after launch.

Over time, you will develop a strong understanding of Little Burgundy’s digital technology ecosystem and proactively identify opportunities to improve our platforms, processes, customer experience, and the return we generate from our technology investments.

Software Developer (Research)

Job LocationMontréalEmployment typeRegular - WADepartmentTechnologyTargeted Start DateImmediateFrench Version

DRW is a diversified trading firm with over 3 decades of experience bringing sophisticated technology and exceptional people together to operate in markets around the world. We value autonomy and the ability to quickly pivot to capture opportunities, so we operate using our own capital and trading at our own risk.

Headquartered in Chicago with offices throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia, we trade a variety of asset classes including Fixed Income, ETFs, Equities, FX, Commodities and Energy across all major global markets. We have also leveraged our expertise and technology to expand into three non-traditional strategies: real estate, venture capital and cryptoassets.

We operate with respect, curiosity and open minds. The people who thrive here share our belief that it’s not just what we do that matters–it's how we do it. DRW is a place of high expectations, integrity, innovation and a willingness to challenge consensus.

We build the systems that turn real-world events into actionable signal, at low latency and high reliability in a trading environment where being right second is the same as being wrong. This role sits at the intersection of research and infrastructure: you'll form hypotheses, prove them with rapid analysis, and then build the production systems that act on them.

We also build with LLMs as a first-class part of the toolchain, not a side experiment. The people who do well here are the ones who can wield an agentic harness as fluently as
they wield a profiler and who know exactly where each one stops being trustworthy.

How You Will Make an Impact

Discovery & Research

  • Expand our event-driven strategy across exchange feeds, market news, social media, and infrastructure telemetry.
  • Spin up rapid analyses in Python/Jupyter to assess signal quality, and turn what you find into system improvements.

LLM & Agentic Systems

  • Build and operate agentic harnesses — tools, context management, evals, guardrails — that do real work against our data and infrastructure, and own their quality in production.
  • Apply LLMs where they genuinely win (extraction, classification, triage, research acceleration) and make the call to not use one where they don't.

Infrastructure & Technical Leadership

  • Own full-stack performance from the network edge to in-memory stores — instrumenting, monitoring, and debugging production systems alongside operations, keeping SLOs razor-sharp.
  • Lead green-field initiatives, design reviews, and post-mortems.

What You Bring

Core

  • 3–5 years building real-time or data-intensive systems (we weigh trajectory and depth over the exact number).
  • Depth with LLMs, not just usage — how these models actually behave (context and its failure modes, tool use, structured output, cost/latency trade-offs, bounding hallucination) and how to build the harness around one: tools, memory, retries, evals, human-in-the-loop boundaries. Bring something real you shipped and can walk us through end to end, including what broke.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals in Python, Go, or Rust. A preference, not a gate — deep systems experience in another serious language transfers.
  • Deep knowledge of network programming and protocols — TCP/UDP/IP, DNS, BGP, HTTP(S), WebSocket, QUIC.
  • Rapid POCs to production — validate statistical significance, iterate quickly, ship, and explain the result to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

Who Thrives Here

This is a competitive, high-stakes environment, and we're looking for people who want that
rather than tolerate it. You'll likely recognize yourself here if:

  • You want problems that are genuinely hard and measurable — where the scoreboard is real and public inside the team.
  • You move fast without being sloppy, and you'd rather ship, measure, and correct than deliberate indefinitely.
  • You're comfortable being wrong quickly and in public, and you update rather than defend.

Bonus Points

  • Depth in the current LLM ecosystem — agent frameworks, MCP, RAG architectures, eval tooling, or local/self-hosted inference.
  • Demonstrated success squeezing latency from NGINX, Envoy, or custom load-balancing layers.
  • Background in high-pressure domains — trading floors, esports, competitive athletics, or hackathons.
  • Open-source contributions, technical blogging, or conference speaking.

What DRW Montreal has to offer you:

  • Mentorship with experienced software developers, database administrators, and technical project managers
  • Continuous learning through paid postgraduate degrees, Dev Lightning talks, online learning support and 1 on 1 language tutoring with Berlitz
  • 40 hours of paid volunteer work at the organization of your choice
  • Bi-weekly social activities, monthly wellness plan, on-site weekly massages, and games room
  • Enjoy daily catered meals (breakfast and lunch) with unlimited snacks and beverages
  • Competitive salary, matching RRSP

Senior Developer

Permanent à temps plein

Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Senior Software Developer who embrace AI-assisted software development as part of their everyday engineering practice to join our engineering team. The SAP Customer Experience – Order Management Services (SAP CX OMS) unit builds and maintains high-quality cloud-native microservices. These microservices manage the order lifecycle and work closely with SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP S/4HANA. You'll work in a collaborative, agile team where quality engineering and customer impact go hand in hand.

What You'll Do

You will design and build scalable application systems independently. These systems will include AI-native components. They will also feature advanced RAG pipelines and multi-agent workflows. Evaluation and benchmarking frameworks to measure AI system quality, reliability, and performance are things you'll build and own. You'll optimize latency, throughput, and cost efficiency across systems. Observability and SRE practices, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and root cause analysis, are areas you'll implement and improve. You'll partner with platform, data, and AI teams to design robust, production-ready solutions and improve system integration. System scalability, resilience, and maintainability are areas you'll continuously work to strengthen.

You will use AI-powered development tools to accelerate software delivery. From comprehending requirements and exploring designs to generating code, creating tests, debugging, documenting, and improving existing services.

  • Design, develop, and test complex, scalable and performant cloud-native microservices for SAP's Order Management platform
  • Participate in full-sprint cycles: refinement, development, code review, and deployment
  • Write unit, integration, and contract tests to ensure production-grade quality
  • Own technical quality: establish coding standards, lead code reviews, and champion test automation practices
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and apply DevOps practices to automate build, test, deployment, and operational processes (SAP BTP, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions)
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, product managers and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Monitor application health, performance, and reliability and proactively address issues. Troubleshoot complex production issues across application, integration, and infrastructure layers; drive root cause analysis and permanent fixes
  • Support technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Use AI-assisted development tools every day. These tools help accelerate development. They also ensure high standards for architecture, security, performance, reliability, and maintainability. Review, validate, test, and improve AI-generated code rather than blindly accepting it
  • Stay current with emerging AI technologies and actively explore how new tools can improve engineering productivity. Define and enforce team-level standards for AI-assisted development. Bring recommendations to the team with a clear cost/benefit view

What You Bring

You have deep experience in distributed systems and scalable application design, with strong hands-on skills in LLMs, advanced RAG patterns, and agentic workflows. Proficiency in system design for scale, resiliency, and fault tolerance is required. Strong experience in performance optimization, cost management, and troubleshooting complex production systems is essential. A solid understanding of SRE principles, observability (logs, metrics, tracing), and incident management is expected. Experience designing evaluation frameworks for AI systems, validating model behavior, and applying agentic engineering patterns is critical. Technical leadership and mentoring ability are also part of what you'll bring.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent functional experience
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar in a professional setting. Deep, functional fluency with AI developer tools across the full SDLC (design, coding, testing, observability) and awareness of the limitations and costs
  • Expert level in Java; experience with Spring Boot preferred and proven experience with REST API design and asynchronous messaging (Kafka, or similar)
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud-native patterns
  • A solid knowledge of software engineering basics. Awareness of microservices architecture and cloud-native patterns. Insight into clean code principles.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling (Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases
  • Comfortable working in an agile/scrum environment
  • Drive clarity instead of waiting for it
  • Solid communication skills; able to work across distributed, cross-functional teams and present to stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of OMS domain concepts (order capture, fulfillment, ATP, returns)
  • Knowledge with cloud platforms — SAP BTP and Azure
  • Contributions to open-source projects

How You Work

You'll take end-to-end technical ownership of critical systems and contribute to engineering excellence across the team. Mentoring less-experienced engineers, guiding design and code quality, and building strong technical capabilities within the team are all part of the role. The team operates across global, cross-functional groups in a culture that values continuous improvement, operational excellence, and knowledge sharing.

  • You enjoy being the go-to technical resource for the team — unblocking colleagues, pairing on hard problems, and accelerating onboarding of new members
  • You take ownership of what you build, including its quality and operation in production
  • You are curious, continuously learning, and comfortable working with new technologies
  • You believe automation should eliminate repetitive work and improve quality
  • You collaborate openly and enjoy solving complex problems with others
  • You are realistic: you can balance technical excellence with customer and business priorities
  • You care about delivering software that is reliable, secure, scalable, and easy to maintain
  • You are comfortable doing AI-native development while applying robust engineering judgment
