We are hiring a Network Administrator on behalf of a well-established organization in Montreal.
In this role, you will be Tier 2 technical expert responsible for ensuring the stability, consistency, and operational excellence of enterprise network infrastructure. As the main level 2 escalation point, this role acts as a technical reference between network administrators, senior network administrators and the Team Leader – Network Operations supporting day-to-day operations and the delivery of infrastructure projects.
Your responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary escalation point forplex network incidents, providing advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and critical incident resolution.
  • Maintain the stability and availability of network infrastructure by handling major incidents affecting LAN, WAN, routing, switching, and firewall environments.
  • Ensure that network solutionsply with enterprise architecture standards by reviewing technical designs prior to deployment.
  • Collaborate with the Team Leader – Network Operations and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the consistent application of standards and best practices.
  • Translate business and project needs into scalable network solutions by defining technical, infrastructure, connectivity, and site readiness requirements.
  • Contribute to project planning by participating in the definition of material schedules (BOMs), statements of work (SOW) and infrastructure requirements.
  • Drive operational excellence by supporting automation, DevOps, and improved monitoring tools, processes, and network operations.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt, standardize network infrastructure, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in the continuous modernization of the enterprise network to improve performance, resiliency, reliability, and scalability.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in enterprise network administration.
  • Mastery of the fundamentals of IP networks: LAN, WAN, layers 2 and 3, VPN, SDN, DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Strong expertise in diagnosing and resolving network problems, both simple andplex.
  • Good knowledge of network security, network flows, as well as LAN and WAN security technologies.
  • Experience in automating networks using scripts.
  • Experience with network infrastructure observability, monitoring, and management tools.
  • Significant experience with Cisco and Fortinet solutions; Experience in large network environments is an asset.
  • ITIL certification (asset).
  • Excellentmunication skills, both in French and English.
  • Team spirit, sense of responsibility, autonomy and strong results oriented.
