Network Engineer - Data Center

Salary: $94,000 - 117,000 per year

• 5–7 years of experience in network engineering, preferably within financial services or tech industries.
• Proficient in Ethernet technologies, including SPT, 802.1Q, VPC, and Leaf-Spine IP Fabric.
• In-depth knowledge of IP Routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, BGP, MPBGP, and TCP/IP, as well as Multicast routing (PIM, IGMP, MSDP).
• Experience with VxLAN and Cisco hardware platforms, specifically Nexus 9000 and ASR 1000x/9000 series.
• Familiarity with Arista networking platforms and various network operating systems such as Cisco IOS, NXOS, IOS-XR, and Arista EOS.
• Strong emphasis on security and understanding of multi-tier security architectures.
• Desired certifications include CCIE or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in automation through Python or Ansible scripting.
• Familiarity with network tools like DNA Center, Wireshark, Infoblox, HPNA, Splunk, and Sevone.
• Knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN), SD-WAN, DMVPN, and public cloud networking technologies.
• Familiar with Kubernetes, VMware, and IP-based storage solutions.
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.

• Design and deploy extensive network architectures suitable for Data Centres.
• Create detailed Bills of Materials (BoM), Visio diagrams, and configuration templates.
• Take part in weekly design discussions and collaborate with project managers on execution strategies.
• Act as an escalation point during network interruptions and provide critical support over weekends for major projects.
• Draft engineering standards and outline best-practice architecture models.
• Guide team members and promote knowledge sharing within the group.
