Purpose of the job
The SEO/GEO Specialist, reporting to the SEO team leader and integrated into the SEO team, will be responsible for the development, implementation, follow-ups and optimization of online referencing for the two (2) banners of the company La Vie en Rose (la Vie en Rose and Bikini Village). In an environment marked by the evolution of search engines and the rise of artificial intelligence, the SEO/GEO specialist will have to adapt SEO strategies to ensure a sustainable presence, both in traditional search results and in generative and conversational experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage SEO/GEO strategies to improve the visibility and positioning of sites in traditional (SERPs) and generative (LLM, conversational engines) search results.
- Adapt SEO strategies to new search experiences (rich results, AI-generated responses, zero-clicks).
- Conduct in-depth keyword research and analysis to identify organic growth opportunities in targeted markets.
- Perform technical SEO audits and coordinate the implementation of necessary fixes.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, content, product, e-commerce and SEA teams to optimize overall performance and support organic acquisition.
- Develop and deploy local SEO strategies for the Canadian and American markets.
- Track, analyze and interpret SEO performance using specialized tools and produce reports and recommendations for management.
- Work with the copywriting team to create and optimize content aligned with SEO best practices and new uses of AI-assisted search.
- Contribute, with the web team, to the optimization of the site architecture, user journeys, wireframes and calls-to-actions, with a view to improving the user experience (UX) and conversion (CRO).
- Develop strategies dedicated to AI Search Optimization (AISO) to maximize brand presence and credibility.
- Understand and analyze how language models (LLMs) consume, interpret, and render information.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends, algorithm updates, AI innovations, and SEO best practices.
Your profile
- Data analysis and critical thinking: You excel in interpreting SEO performance indicators and know how to transform data into concrete and measurable actions.
- Technical expertise and digital curiosity: You understand the inner workings of search algorithms and have a keen eye for spotting optimization opportunities, both technically and strategically.
- Communication and collaboration: You know how to popularize SEO jargon for other teams, and work hand in hand with the e-Commerce, content, marketing and SEA teams.
- Business intelligence and thirst for innovation: SEO is constantly evolving, and so are you. You're always on the lookout for trends, new AI and algorithm updates to stay ahead of the curve.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Specialized Graduate Diploma in E-Commerce or Marketing or relevant experience in a related field;
- Minimum 4 years of experience in SEO;
- Bilingualism - spoken and written (The person will have to do SEO research for the Canadian and American market);
- Good understanding of search engines and how language models work (LLM);
- Advanced knowledge of the following tools:
- Google Analytics (Certification obtained - Asset);
- Google Search Console;
- Ahrefs;
- SEMRush;
- Screaming Frog;
- Knowledge of structured data (Schema.org);
- Experience or strong interest in the use of AI tools applied to SEO;
- Be proactive and proactive;
- Organized, able to manage multiple projects at once;
- Problem-solving;
- Be on the lookout for the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing.
