M&A IT Integration Manager
Make an impact with our Technology – Support Services team as a M&A IT Integration Manager. As a trusted advisor, you’ll support, ensure planning and execution of IT-related merger activities, enabling team members to work efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of IT integration activities for business mergers, from initial discovery through post-merger stabilization and support.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the merger organization and internal technology teams, chairing regular integration meetings to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking progress across multiple workstreams to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
- Partner with leadership to ensure business functions are aligned with firm-wide best practices.
- Coordinate with Regional IT team members to plan onsite activities, staffing and travel for cutover weekend execution and post-merger transition.
- Set up and manage project documentation and collaboration tools.
- Lead discovery sessions to assess the merging firm’s IT environment.
- Oversee hardware procurement, internet and telephony requirements, and data migration planning.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to drive integration tasks, influence stakeholders to meet commitments, and validate system readiness prior to go-live.
- Oversee go-live activities (onsite or remote) ensuring systems are fully operational, and provide timely support and escalation to resolve issues as needed.
- Develop tailored onboarding materials and training for new team members in partnership with regional leads.
- Support the transition to standard IT operations, oversee post-merger activities, and provide ongoing guidance and issue resolution as needed to ensure long-term stability.
- Conduct lessons-learned reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the M&A process.
Skills And Experience
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, Microsoft 365, and end-user technology.
- Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Proven experience managing complex IT projects.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- PMP or related project management certification is considered an asset.
- Written and verbal French and English language skills, due to frequent collaboration with English-speaking teams/clients across Canada and some client deliverables/regulatory reporting obligations are in English.
