The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Position summary

Department / Research Program: Translational Research in Respiratory Diseases (RESP)

A Laboratory Assistant's tasks involve lab-related duties and clerical functions.

General Duties

Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent:

• Helps in preparing and setting up materials and equipment
• Assists in laboratory projects and experiments
• Assists in results recording
• Assists in grant application submissions
• Collects and maintains data and enrollment records
• Ensures compliance with protocol guidelines
• Accomplishes any other administrative/clerical tasks as required by the immediate supervisor.

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Work Experience: 1-2 years

Required Skills

• Excellent French and English spoken and written
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision.

Additional information

Status: Temporary Occasional: 5 hours/week

Pay Scale: Commensurate with education & work experience. $16.14 - $26.43/h

Work Shift: Variable Schedule: 8:30 am - 1:30 PM

Work Site: 5252 Maisonneuve
