Bilingual Translation Proofreader – English to Canadian French. Bilingual French-English proofreading opportunity in the insurance industry. Work in a hybrid setup (Montréal or Toronto) ensuring high-quality French content aligned with corporate and regulatory standards. What is in it for you

Hourly salary of $25-30, based on experience.
6-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
Full-time position : 37.50 hours per week.
Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.
Hybrid work : in-office Tuesday to Thursday.

Responsibilities

Proofread and edit translated content from English to French, ensuring accuracy, grammar, and adherence to corporate messaging and style guides.

Validate translated materials and make edits to ensure fluency and clarity.

Maintain consistency in terminology, tone, and style across all content.

Collaborate with content creators and marketing teams to ensure high-quality, culturally appropriate translations.

Apply a strong understanding of French language nuances specific to Québec.

Develop and maintain glossaries and style guides to support consistent translation standards.

Review and align translated web content with SEO best practices.

Support glossary creation in collaboration with the advanced analytics team.

What you will need to succeed

Bachelor’s degree in Language, Communications, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Bilingual in English and French to accurately proofread, edit, and ensure high-quality, culturally appropriate translations aligned with corporate and financial industry standards.

Deep understanding of linguistic nuances and cultural context in Québec.

Proven experience proofreading and editing French translations in a professional setting.

Exceptional grammar and spelling skills in French.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Experience in the financial industry or wealth and asset management strongly preferred.
