Project Lead - Information Production, Transport and Equipment Management (French Services) (On Site)

Position for CBC / Radio-Canada in Montreal, on site. Temporary (STTRC). Language: French. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. Location: 1000, Rue Papineau, Montreal, Quebec, H2K 0C2. This role requires full-time on-site presence.

Your role

As the Project Lead for the News Production department, you will focus on ensuring the efficiency, compliance, and optimal management of operations related to our vehicle fleet, transportation, and technical equipment. You plan and coordinate resources to meet production demands while maintaining administrative and operational oversight. You will manage requests from vehicle management, transportation, and technical equipment units; plan vehicle maintenance and repairs; liaise with external service providers and internal partners; manage booking and usage requests for vehicles and equipment; manage rental needs within budget; contribute to process improvements; manage access and training; assist with financial tracking and user support; coordinate with production teams, technical producers, and supervising technicians; prepare forms, correspondence, documents, and reports (including statistics and activity reports).

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate requests from vehicle management, transportation, and technical equipment units.
  • Organize vehicle maintenance, repairs, and liaise with external service providers and internal partners.
  • Manage bookings and usage of vehicles and equipment; optimize resource allocation and control costs.
  • Provide technical resources and manage rental needs within budget and department requirements.
  • Establish processes for fleet operation, compliance, and efficiency; manage access requests and user training.
  • Assist with financial tracking and user support.
  • Collaborate with production teams, technical producers, and supervising technicians to coordinate equipment requests.
  • Coordinate with the local fleet coordinator, fleet mechanic, procurement, and other units to meet operational needs; prepare forms, correspondence, and reports.

Job Requirements

  • College diploma (DCS) in a related field.
  • Three or more years’ experience in planning, coordination, and logistics.
  • Knowledge of technical equipment used in TV and radio production.
  • Strong ability to manage stress and competing priorities; leadership and client focus.
  • Self-reliant, proactive, efficient, and versatile; excellent work planning, coordination, and organization skills.
  • Excellent administration and data analysis skills; collaborative problem-solving; ability to embrace change.
  • Ability to manage priorities and handle multiple requests, sometimes under pressure; thoroughness; customer-service oriented communication.
  • Flexibility and availability; strong proficiency in French (spoken and written); English is an asset.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Class 5 driver’s license; familiarity with regulations in sound vehicle fleet management is an asset.
