Brief Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Scrum Master to lead Agile teams through effective Scrum practices. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Agile methodologies, be adept at removing obstacles, and serve as a servant leader to help teams deliver high-quality software efficiently and consistently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, sprint reviews, and backlog grooming sessions.
  • Team coaching: coach teams on Agile/Scrum principles to foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and self-organization.
  • Impediment removal: identify and eliminate blockers that impede the progress of the team.
  • Stakeholder communication: act as a liaison between development teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
  • Progress tracking: monitor key Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts, cumulative flow) to assess team performance and productivity.
  • Tool management: set up and manage Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms to track and visualize team progress.
  • Agile adoption: help the organization scale Agile practices across teams, departments, or portfolios, depending on experience.
  • Support the Product Owner: assist with backlog grooming, prioritization, and maintaining a clear product roadmap.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM I/II, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3+ years as a Scrum Master in a tech or software development environment. Hands-on experience with Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and software development practices. Ability to analyze Agile metrics and create meaningful dashboards/reports.
  • Soft Skills: Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills; excellent verbal and written communication; leadership mindset with the ability to influence without authority.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAFe, LeSS, or other scaled Agile frameworks.
  • Previous experience as a developer, QA, or BA (technical background is a plus).
  • Experience working in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
