Overview
Position : Manager, Business and Portfolio Management – Technology Operations & Services group
Location : Ottawa, Ontario (hybrid; in-office 3 days per week, subject to change) or from one of our Community Hubs in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Laval, or Brossard. Relocation assistance is available. Employment type: Permanent.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Infrastructure Program Managers and Business Management Office professionals.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture and align team goals with organizational objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Develop and implement training programs; conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
- Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure programs, ensuring on-time, within-scope, and within-budget outcomes.
- Implement best practices and methodologies to enhance program efficiency; identify and mitigate risks; coordinate with vendors and service providers; track milestones and deliverables.
- Manage the Business Management Office, monitor KPIs, perform financial analysis and budgeting for infrastructure programs, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Engage with stakeholders, communicating program status, risks, and issues to senior leadership; facilitate regular stakeholder meetings and maintain engagement plans.
- Drive continuous improvement through process enhancements and staying current with industry trends and best practices in program management and business operations.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in program management and business operations.
- Proven ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams and foster an inclusive, collaborative culture aligned with EDC values.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure programs and business management practices; excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual in English and French.
