Overview

The Senior Analyst will support the Client Fund Events team for GWAM Canada, providing operational expertise and analytical support to ensure successful implementation of business initiatives. This role involves interpreting data, assessing financial and accounting impacts, and collaborating with stakeholders across departments. The ideal candidate will bring strong back-office experience, bilingual proficiency, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset to a team that values performance, collaboration, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to managers during impact analysis and implementation phases of assigned projects.
  • Identify operational and business risks associated with initiatives and communicate findings to leadership.
  • Act as the primary resource for analyzing and responding to inquiries.
  • Coordinate project-related tasks and activities with internal and external teams.
  • Interact with stakeholders to understand scope, requirements, and business impact.
  • Liaise with custodians and valuation agents to communicate project requirements.
  • Compile and deliver key monthly metrics and reporting to internal partners and leadership.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives by providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Understand and assess the risk, financial, and accounting impacts of business processes.
  • Monitor activities to ensure compliance with established policies, standards, and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in investment operations or mutual funds.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French (spoken and written).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and self-starter attitude.
  • Back-office operations experience with familiarity in terminology and workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in mutual funds operations.
  • Knowledge of fund accounting.
  • Canadian institute certifications (asset).
