Job Description

Encore Travel is becoming the intelligence company that scales care. Our goal isn't to automate away what's human, but to use technology to strengthen the relationships we create and maintain. That starts with data. Lots of it.

Our team transforms disconnected information into trusted intelligence. We build the APIs, data models, semantic layer, analytics, and tooling that power our people and our AI agents. Every system we create helps someone make a better decision, serve a customer more thoughtfully, or uncover a signal that would otherwise be missed.

You'll learn how our company works, how our customers think, and which signals matter most. You'll develop the confidence to challenge weak assumptions, surface meaningful insights, and build systems that help people focus on what they do best: caring for other people.

AI is the medium. Data is the foundation. Better relationships are the outcome.

What You'll Do

Make the data earn its keep.

Ready, reliable, and available are a standard you enforce daily: catching small errors before they compound, and sharpening your checks every time a new source enters the mix.

Design the connective tissue.

You'll build and extend the APIs, tables, models, and contracts that let disparate systems speak one language. A strong semantic layer is what separates insight people act on from insight people ignore, and you'll keep growing it as the business does.

Give the agents a memory worth having.

You'll decide exactly what belongs in a long-lived agent's context window, so it can carry a thread from three weeks ago as precisely as one from this morning. This discipline is new enough that you'll help shape what doing it well actually looks like.

Pursue the question nobody assigned you.

You'll move into corners of the business that aren't technically yours, start conversations because the answer matters, and come back with context that changes how something gets built.

Trust your own read, and defend it.

You'll build the judgment to know when a number looks right but isn't, and the standing to say so, even to people who've been doing this far longer than you.

Rebuild it better, on purpose.

What you ship this quarter is the foundation for what you ship next. Every iteration is a chance to sharpen the craft, not a box to check once and move past.

Requirements

What You Bring

Required

  • Early in your career (roughly 0 to 3 years), with real systems thinking and a bias toward building rather than waiting for a perfect brief
  • Comfortable starting conversations across teams and asking questions until things actually click
  • Meaningful hands-on exposure to data work: analytics, dashboards, applied projects, or independent builds
  • Demonstrated ability to take a vision from someone else and turn it into something real, without needing every step defined in advance
  • Clear, confident communication with technical and non-technical colleagues alike

An asset

  • A path here that didn't run through a traditional engineering degree, paired with real curiosity about how systems work under the hood
  • Working familiarity with APIs, semantic layers, or how AI agents consume and act on data
  • Experience turning messy, disconnected information into something a team can trust immediately

The instinct to go figure it out matters more here than any single line on a résumé.

Who Thrives Here

If someone can hand you a vision and trust you to make it real. You refine ideas, build what's needed, and continuously improve it. You'll be at the centre of our computational heartbeat, working across the entire business rather than inside a single domain.

Requirements
The Role You are the front line of the traveler experience for some of North America's most discerning corporate clients. You manage the full travel lifecycle — air, hotel, rail, and car — while holding the twin accountabilities that never come apart in this industry: an exceptional traveler experience and strict alignment with client policy. This is not a transactional role. You are a trusted advisor who builds relationships, protects sensitive information, and brings intelligence to every interaction. The work compounds. So does the trust. What you'll do Manage reservations with precision and ownership. You handle new and existing domestic and cross-border travel reservations across North America using GDS and OBT platforms. You modify itineraries accurately and efficiently, from name corrections to routing changes. You interpret and communicate fare conditions, flight credits, and restrictions clearly, the first time. Own policy compliance and protect client trust. Every booking aligns with the client's specific travel policy and approval processes. You know the rules, you apply them, and you handle sensitive traveler information with the discretion that high-trust relationships require. In this vertical, that is not a compliance checkbox. It is the foundation of the relationship. Advise, not just book. You proactively identify opportunities to enhance the experience, recommending complementary services before the traveler thinks to ask. Loyalty programs, traveler preferences, cost-effectiveness, and policy do not pull in four directions in your hands. You find the balance and you make the recommendation with confidence. The best agents at Encore do not wait for a request. They anticipate one. Build relationships that hold. You deliver consistent, high-quality service to travelers who have high expectations and low patience for friction. They remember how you made them feel. You make them feel taken care of. Requirements Required Three or more years of experience in the travel industry, with corporate travel experience strongly preferred. Proficiency in Apollo and Galileo GDS systems. Experience with Online Booking Tools. Strong knowledge of North American geography, fare rules, cabin classes, TSA and CBSA guidelines, and baggage policies. The ability to research and communicate global travel and entry requirements clearly and accurately. Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with the consultative instinct to turn a booking conversation into a value-added exchange. The organizational precision to move quickly without losing a detail. An asset Familiarity with Dialpad and Zoho Desk. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. A college diploma or university degree.
