Project Manager, Data, Analytics and AI

Client is seeking an end-to-end accountable project manager capable of leading a large-scale, cross-functional project within the Data and Analytics ecosystem, including a predictive AI component. The job description's vocabulary is revealing accountability, reporting to the sponsor, governance to be defined and maintained, numerous interdependencies, and political acumen.

This is not a deliverables coordinator or an expanded scrum master: the client envisions a senior project manager leading a budget, decision-making bodies, and a roadmap, and standing directly before the sponsor.

The combined mention of software integration and platform migration, along with the risk management and GPAP context, indicates a project to transform an analytical platform within a regulated financial environment, not a standalone BI project. A purely IT delivery profile, without exposure to governance bodies, will not be suitable for this role.

Main Responsibilities:

• The project manager will coordinate a team on a large-scale project to achieve the established objectives. Their role involves defining the objectives, strategy, and resources, and coordinating the actions necessary to complete the project on time. They will participate in the various phases of execution, up to and including project deployment.

Their ability to focus on results and foster team engagement is essential for effectively managing teams to achieve the project's ambitious goals. There are numerous interdependencies, and they will interact with a wide range of stakeholders working in diverse areas of expertise. They will act as a specialist and provide leadership to decision-making bodies and work teams. More specifically, they will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the delivery of deliverables to meet business objectives and deliver benefits within budget and on schedule (in collaboration with the various contributors).

• Ensure the availability of material, human, and financial resources to meet agreed-upon business objectives.

• Be responsible for the management, monitoring, and execution of projects within the roadmap and budget. Define and maintain governance.

• Identify and address project issues and risks.

• Be responsible for reporting on project progress and status to the sponsor and other decision-making bodies.

Requirements

Mandatory requirement:

• More than 6 years of experience managing large-scale projects in cross-functional environments
  
• Large-scale Data & Analytics (BI) projects or programs
  
• Software integration and platform migration/replacement project
  
• Risk management context and/or financial institution experience
  
• PMP / MGP / ACP certifications
  
• Jira and Confluence
  
• Project leadership competencies: complex environments, communication, political acumen, collaborative culture, planning, leadership
  
• Engagements involving AI for predictive and analytical purposes
  
• Clients’ ecosystem and GPAP
  
• Master’s degree or graduate-level diploma in project management
