As a lecturer in Architectural Technology, you are responsible for imparting your knowledge to students, designing course content, and evaluating learning. Among the skills and concepts taught are :
- Architectural design and project development;
- Technical drawing and graphic representation (2D and 3D);
- Specialized software: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign);
- Building Information Modeling (BIM) and emerging digital tools;
- Construction systems: wood, steel, concrete and masonry;
- Materials, building envelope and building mechanics;
- Quebec Construction Code, Building Standards, Laws and Regulations;
- Cost estimation, project management and site supervision;
- Renovation, rehabilitation and survey of buildings;
- Sustainable development, energy efficiency and sustainable building.

Location: LaSalle College - Montreal Campus and/or Laval Campus
RESPONSABILITIES
- Plan course sessions in line with the objectives of the program and the targeted skills;
- Deliver sessions in a dynamic, efficient and structured manner;
- Design formative and summative assessments according to the competency-based approach;
- Correct evaluations and ensure constructive feedback from students;
- Offer personalized follow-up to students and promote their academic success;
- Be available to meet the educational needs of students outside of class hours;
- Integrate artificial intelligence technologies and tools into teaching practices;
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the program and departmental activities.
This role involves frequent interactions with international students and team members.
REQUIREMENTS
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada;
- Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, architectural technology, building engineering, civil engineering or a related field;
- Have two (2) years of relevant experience in the architecture, construction or building sector;
- Proficiency in specialized software: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and generative AI tools (GenAI);
- Have taught a full course in the last five (5) years (asset); be a member of the OAQ or the OTPQ or in the process of becoming one;
- Fluency in the French language (oral and written);
- Proficiency in the English language at a professional level (oral and written).
