Job Description Summary

Negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies. Achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels. Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement.
  • Manage claims.
  • Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc. This may also include purchasing activities.
  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
  • Resolves issues using established procedures.
  • Consults People Leader or more senior team members for issues outside of defined parameters.
  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and Client.
  • Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
  • Handles simple data entry work requiring face value check and correction.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Sourcing
  • Fluent in French and english

    Desired Characteristics

    • Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Package
    • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
    • Availability to travel within Canada to visit suppliers.
    • Notions of how to read technical drawings and manufacturing process.
    • Experience with energy business and negotiation with international suppliers – specifically electrical components.
