- Lead and supervise a team of planners while fostering their professional development
- Define and align individual and team objectives with the organization’s priorities
- Lead weekly and monthly performance reviews related to key indicators (service level, on-time delivery, stockouts, etc.)
- Define short- and mid-term planning strategies aligned with production objectives and demand forecasts across the different production sites
- Manage risks related to stock shortages, production bottlenecks, or unforeseen events by developing effective contingency plans
- Monitor schedule attainment with production planners and coordinate meetings with the production team to address and implement corrective actions
- Maintain close collaboration with operational teams to anticipate and communicate potential risks
- Implement robust production capacity analysis processes, taking into account industrial, human, and logistical constraints
- Recommend capacity adjustments (overtime, additional shifts, configuration changes) in the event of anticipated imbalances
- Analyze production data to identify optimization opportunities
- Ensure the achievement of defined performance objectives
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning
- Ensure the standardization of production planning processes across all sites
- Perform any other related duties
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in production planning or supply chain, including team leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, demand forecasting, and inventory management in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to analyze operational data, manage risks, and implement effective planning strategies
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and KPI-driven performance management, with strong cross-functional collaboration skills
- Bilingual in French and English (English required to serve clients and suppliers based in the U.S. and outside Quebec)
