Job Summary
The Intern, Industrial Products Market Analyst is responsible for assisting the Sales and Marketing team by gaining an understanding of customer needs through market research, traffic flow, pricing, and corridor analysis. The position assists with process mapping of key workflows for sales and marketing activities to help establish rates and future productivity improvements. The incumbent supports a team whose goal is to grow CN’s market share, deepen CN’s strategic position, in addition to growing CN’s contribution by expanding market share to generate revenue and volume growth.
Major Responsibilities
- Review the nature and scope of segment and customer requirements
- Assess market and modal competition, service requirements and equipment availability
- Undertake research related to corridor pricing structure and modal competition
- Process map key workflows for Sales and Marketing activities for future technology transformation activities
- Analyze large quantities of data and display in graphical formats
Requirements
- Initiative, sound judgment and a willingness to accept responsibility with a minimum of direction
- Applies critical thinking
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including databases and Tableau
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage workload efficiently
Education
- Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent
