Responsibilities

  • Supervise and optimize the entire manufacturing process, ensuring efficient and high‑quality production, finishing, and crating operations.
  • Lead daily plant operations, maintain production schedules and customer expectations.
  • Assign workers and support staff based on production demand and equipment availability.
  • Conduct performance reviews, implement training, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Plant Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Technical Services Manager, and Quality Manager to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations; manage risk and conduct incident investigations.
  • Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement Lean and Six‑Sigma methodologies.
  • Make strategic decisions on staffing, overtime, and resource allocation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, operations, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six‑Sigma, and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
  • In‑depth knowledge of safety regulations and quality assurance practices.
  • Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken).
  • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and multi‑tasking skills.

Preferred Differentiators

  • Degree in manufacturing, operations, engineering, or related field.
  • Track record of cost savings, efficiency gains, and improvement of operational performance.
  • Experience leading multi‑shift production teams in high‑speed, results‑driven environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change, manage KPIs, and optimize team performance.

Physical & Mental Demands

Requires prolonged periods of sitting, repetitive hand movements, concentration, decision making, teamwork, frequent attentiveness, communication, and occasional lifting.

Work Environment

Indoor with controlled conditions. Requires appropriate personal protective equipment when entering the manufacturing floor.
