Senior Concept Artist at WB Games Montreal Inc.
WB Games Montreal, a division of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, is seeking a Senior Concept Artist to craft a wide range of conceptual content—characters, weapons, environments, props—to inspire and communicate the visual direction of an upcoming AAA console title.
Responsibilities
- Understand the project's creative vision.
- Contribute to overall art direction and bring new ideas.
- Craft visually inspiring, high-fidelity concepts that set the quality bar for the team.
- Create concept art for characters, weapons, environments, and props.
- Collaborate and communicate with the production and art direction teams.
- Present work to leadership, receive feedback, and iterate.
- Actively participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and projects.
- Serve as a mentor to junior team members.
- Develop efficient workflows to maximize productivity and deliver compelling, timely work.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in video game development and having worked on a published AAA title.
- Portfolio/site demonstrating artistic skills.
- Creative, focused, self-motivated, resourceful problem-solver.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; bilingual French-English is a desired asset.
- Advanced Photoshop expertise.
- Ability to work within a broad variety of styles and genres.
- Strong background in traditional art skills.
- Knowledge of art history and contemporary culture.
- Good understanding of color theory, layout, and composition.
- Familiarity with 3D art and combining 2D and 3D techniques is a plus.
