Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Scrum Master to drive our agile transformation and empower development teams to deliver high-quality financial products. The ideal candidate will be a servant-leader who fosters collaboration, removes impediments, and ensures adherence to Scrum principles while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Facilitation

  • Lead all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives.
  • Guide the team in understanding and applying Scrum principles and practices.
  • Maintain a collaborative, transparent, and psychologically safe team environment.

Coaching & Mentoring

  • Coach development teams on self-organization and cross-functionality.
  • Support Product Owners with backlog refinement and clarity of goals.
  • Mentor colleagues and other teams on agile best practices.
  • Identify and proactively eliminate impediments to team progress.
  • Manage risks and escalate issues to stakeholders when required.
  • Shield the team from external distractions.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Facilitate clear communication among the Scrum Team, Product Owner, and stakeholders.
  • Track and report team progress using metrics such as velocity and sprint burndown.
  • Ensure transparency and visibility of deliverables and timelines.
  • Drive a culture of learning and innovation through effective retrospectives.
  • Encourage experimentation with new tools, techniques, and processes.
  • Continuously refine team practices to improve productivity.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 3–5 years as a Scrum Master in a true agile environment.
  • Financial industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Project management experience is an asset.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Familiarity with scaled agile frameworks (SAFe) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of transactional data reporting and financial products (e.g., OTC products) is advantageous.

Certifications (preferred)

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM I)
