Overview

Sirius Personnel is a Placement and Headhunting Agency that Specializes in Sales and Marketing Professionals in Montreal. Our client sells tailor-made marketing programs used by banks, insurance companies, retailers, and others to build customer loyalty. We are looking for a business development rep in Montreal who is used to selling a service with a sales cycle in excess of 12 months and selling value rather than price. This role is to find and nurture net new business.

Responsibilities

  • Identify prospects based on our qualified profiles
  • Work on RFPs with internal teams and manage the process
  • Design a strategic plan for market penetration and execute
  • Qualify opportunities and generate proposals
  • By being creative, you will find solutions for prospects
  • Negotiate agreements
  • Manage, simultaneously, multiple, short-term and long-term opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal resources especially project managers and upper management
  • Participate in industry events where you will build knowledge and contacts
  • Update company CRM regularly
  • Meet company-set quarterly objective

Qualifications

  • Development vs Maintenance: 80% vs 20%
  • Road vs Office: 20% vs 80%
  • Languages: French and English
  • Training: Full on the job training provided
  • Overnight Travel: Very little overnight travel required
  • Years of experience: At least 5 years consultative sales experience
  • Has successfully sold into sales cycle greater than 12 months and with a total value of at least $500,000
  • You have a solutions selling mindset
  • You have a successful track record of new business sales
