We are looking for a Designer Industrial, Textile

The incumbent will work within the product development department to bring to market creative and innovative new products for the North American retail and industrial markets.

Working Conditions

• Permanent full-time position
• Day shift, Monday to Friday
• Hybrid formula: 2 days of teleworking

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the product development manager in the elaboration of the technical file (Tech pack)
• Collaborate and participate in the successful development of new products
• Research trends and brainstorming
• Analyze existing products and prototypes
• Assist in quality control and validation of samples
• Communication with suppliers
• Perform fittings and adjustments of garments
• Validate size charts
• Research, validation and certification product standards
• Collaborate with the sales department in the analysis of customer needs
• Respect the deliverables with a concern for work well done
• Participate in the growth of product lines by being proactive and accountable for the work that needs to be done
• Be highly motivated to learn

Ideal Profile

• University undergraduate or technical college degree in industrial design, fashion design
• Knowledge of textile, tailoring, garment fitting
• Great knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, 3D modelling
• Knowledge of electronics and rechargeable batteries for heated garments would be an asset
• Knowledge of the high-visibility industrial garment and/or work glove market would be an asset
• Fluency in spoken and written French and English, in order to meet the needs of external clients located outside the province of Quebec
• Be meticulous and demonstrate a strong team player spirit
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines
• Proven ability to keep up with industry trends
• Eager to learn
