Overview

As an operational support programmer analyst, you ensure prompt incident and problem management for Business Banking Services Solutions (BBSS). BBSS supports all components in the business sector and is the technological gateway for our business clients. You actively collaborate to reach performance indicators and work with the team and a range of contributors to achieve Desjardins Group targets. You’re a very technical person and you like learning about and further developing end-to-end application processes. The nature of IT environments is complex and requires comprehensive knowledge of your field. As part of your role, you handle, coordinate and manage service requests for retail payment support, in batches, for business clients. You demonstrate the ability to work on several projects at once and you excel at time and priority management.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure sound management of changes to applications
  • Be the end-to-end application expert for the solution and ensure that service gets reestablished
  • Help prepare and propose action plans to address issues in accordance with current rules and parameters
  • Prepare operational reports on stability statistics and provide advisory support
  • Develop and document work methods, tools and processes using solutions like PowerPoint and Confluence
  • Manage application governance with the external provider

  • What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in the banking sector, including payments
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Extensive experience in operational support
  • Experience working with external suppliers
  • Experience with MT101, MT102 payment transactions
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and / or clients
  • Proficiency in Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Knowledge of Kyriba payment solutions
  • Knowledge of the Swift platform
  • Knowledge of Linux
  • Knowledge of Unix
  • Knowledge of MFT, including encryption
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow, Jira and Confluence
  • Knowledge of Control-M
  • Availability to provide paid 24 / 7 support on rotation
