Job Description / Description du poste

The position reports directly to the Head of PROPULSION domain in the Mirabel design office. In this expert role, you will review and assess aspects of the A220 engine’s technical maturity for design proposals and certification strategies, identify risks and opportunities, and evaluate trade-offs considering environmental factors. You will support critical investigations and represent the discipline across Airbus programs for sharing expertise and lessons learned. You will coordinate with the Airbus Propulsion expert community to ensure best practices and maintain engineering manuals. As a senior team member, you will contribute to the development of the engineering team on turbomachinery concepts, optimization and aircraft integration.

Vous êtes titulaire d'un BAC ou d'une maîtrise en génie mécanique ou aéronautique, ou dans un domaine connexe. Vous avez plus de 20 ans d'expérience pertinente, notamment dans la conception de turbomachines, idéalement avec expérience auprès d'un OEM de moteurs et tout au long du cycle de vie d'un produit (phase de développement).

You hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field. You have over 20 years of relevant experience in turbomachinery design, ideally with experience from an engine OEM and across the product life cycle, especially during development.

In Your Role, You Will / Dans Votre Rôle, Vous Devrez

• Be called upon to review critical technical proposals to ensure design compliance with airframer requirements, best practices and practical use. / Être appelé à examiner les propositions techniques critiques afin de garantir la conformité de la conception aux exigences du constructeur, aux meilleures pratiques et à son utilisation pratique.
• Provide technical support to engineering development owners and integrators when required. / Fournir un soutien technique aux responsables du développement technique et aux intégrateurs, si nécessaire.
• Perform trade-off studies for evaluating new propulsion concepts. / Réaliser des études de compromis pour l'évaluation de nouveaux concepts de propulsion.
• Manage risks within your scope and support other functions. / Assurer la gestion des risques pour son périmètre de responsabilité et soutenir d'autres fonctions.
• Serve as a technical reference for the group with external partners and other Airbus platforms. / Servir de référence technique pour le groupe auprès des partenaires externes et des autres plateformes Airbus.
