The Opportunity :

The Marketing specialist supports key growth initiatives by offering marketing and communications services to multiple internal and external clients and stakeholders in Canada

He or she contributes to developing and deploys the marketing plans, objectives, budgets, timelines and key messages that are aligned with WSP’s strategic objectives, brand and business targets. He or she also delivers marketing tactics to support targeted audiences and business industries in Canada, in alignment with WSP’s Global brand. Through his work, the marketing specialistactively contributes to the achievement of the marketing team's objectives, namely : to increase brand awareness and familiarity, to support business development and contribute to talent acquisition activities.

What you can expect to do here :

  • Ensure strong partnerships with key sector stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the creation of clear briefs, targets, differentiators and messages to support WSP’s strategic objectives
  • Deliver marketing initiatives, such as thought leadership content, events, sponsorships advertising and social media posts.
  • Ensure that all initiatives are carried out with attention to detail, while adhering to established processes, deadlines and budgets.
  • Create report on initiatives performance (ROI) data and progress on a regular basis.
  • Support the various internal colleagues and executives with ad hoc requests.
  • What you’ll bring to WSP :

  • A Degree in Marketing or Business Administration with intermediate (5+) experience in B2B or services marketing contributing to marketing plans and executing thoughtful and innovative strategies that generate interest and demand.
  • Excellent (bilingual) communication skills in French and English– verbal and written.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • AI knowledge.
  • Prior experience working in a global engineering consulting, professional services or otherwise similar business environment is an asset.
  • Ability to work autonomously and lead projects with minimal supervision / direction on a global organization - you're a self-starter with initiative and drive that will make things happen even when there is ambiguity, while keeping a sharp eye on detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills functioning within a performance based, customer- centric environment with the ability to manage and prioritize competing business priorities.
  • Experience in collaborating with global teams, senior leaders and supporting internal clients, under pressure and in an agency-like manner.
  • Creative and innovative thinker – you are responsive to the marketing industry changes and are constantly adapting to the evolving channels, tactics and opportunities.
  • Strong competencies and interest in developing knowledge of current marketplace trends and activities.
