RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary

Cardiac Electrophysiology. Cardiovascular Health Across the Lifespan Program

Under the supervision of the manager of the Clinical Research Unit in cardiac electrophysiology and the Principal Investigator, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the successful conduct of clinical research studies.

General Duties

• Assists in the planning/organization of research projects,
• Recruitment of study participants (e.g. Identify and screen potential subjects, obtain informed consent), coordination of study visits as per study protocol,
• Execution of all aspects of study visits (e.g. adverse events, safety, questionnaires, sample collection including processing and shipment of samples according to clinical protocol),
• Clinical evaluation of subjects according to protocol requirements,
• Provide coordination and timely completion of all aspects of data collection and sources documentation,
• Timely completion of electronic CRFs as per clinical trial requirements,
• Respond promptly to queries and requests for information,
• Conduct other related tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills

• Bilingual French and English (spoken and written),
• Ability to display a high degree of discretion in dealing with confidential information,
• Medical terminology knowledge,
• Clinical research experience,
• Detail-oriented, autonomous,
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel,
• Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Additional Information

Status : Temporary, part-time, 21 hours/week

Pay Scale : Commensurate with education and experience. $19.22-$28.82/h.

Work Shift : Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Work Site : MGH, 1650 Cedar Ave.
