Hiring Unit :
Computational and Data Systems Initiative (CDSI)
Position Summary :
Provide technical support to faculty and instructors for in-person and / or remote delivery, including course mechanics, content, and technical support for faculty and students.
Other Qualifying Skills and Abilities :
- Communication Skills : Maintain effective communication with CDSI staff, instructors, and participants. Introduce yourself at the beginning of each workshop.
- Punctuality : Respond promptly to emails and arrive on time for workshops.
- Sense of Responsibility : Notify CDSI staff or instructors in advance if unable to attend scheduled workshops.
- Preferred Backgrounds :
- Computer Science or Software Engineering students for Computer Systems Workshop.
- Experience in Machine Learning & NLP, with priority coursework (e.g., COMP 551, COMP 345, COMP 550).
- Graduate students in Statistics for Advanced Statistics.
- Experience in Python / R for Data Science projects.
- Programming experience in non-STEM domains for AI / Society.
Location :
Montreal, Quebec, work to be performed within Quebec.
Language Requirements :
English communication skills at level 4 (scale 0-4). Proficiency in French is also considered.
Minimum Education and Experience :
High School Diploma with 1 Year of related experience.
