Relevant to the Director of Supply Chain and PMO, the manager is responsible for leading a project management team and overseeing a portfolio of complex and cross-functional projects at local, regional, and international levels. This role aims to ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives, strengthen project governance, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. The manager supervises a team of Project Officers, providing mentorship, performance monitoring, and ensuring consistent application of project management methodologies and tools.
Responsibilities & Tasks
- Lead and develop the PMO function, including methodologies, tools, and reporting standards.
- Manage a strategic project portfolio across multiple business units, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Project Officers team, including performance management, coaching, and professional development.
- Establish and maintain best practices, models, and tools for project management to ensure consistent and quality delivery.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, respecting deadlines, budgets, and defined scopes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Regulatory Affairs) to support new product launches, site transfers, and process improvements.
- Monitor project risks, dependencies, and critical paths, implementing mitigation strategies.
- Produce executive-level performance reports on projects and portfolios (KPIs, resource utilization, risk assessment).
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO and project delivery processes.
- Ensure project activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements.
- Support strategic planning and budgeting processes by providing data-driven analyses from project and portfolio data.
