    One of the main divisions of the AJW Group is AJW Technique, a state-of-the-art component Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility with over 150 experienced and passionate technicians in Montreal.

    The Production Planner is responsible for managing all short- and long-term planning for the MRO shop. This includes converting business development forecasts into technician capacity models, creating weekly and daily schedules, and adjusting plans dynamically based on shop conditions. The role ensures proactive coordination between inputs, resources, and customer commitments.

    Main responsibilities :

  • Develop end-to-end production plans based on forecasted pipeline and actual workload
  • Provide workforce models to determine required technician levels to meet demand
  • Create and maintain daily and weekly production schedules by work cell
  • Reactively adjust plans in response to input delays, priority changes, or rush orders
  • Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, and CX to align inputs with capacity
  • Support the Director / manager with analysis on load balancing, workforce gaps, and output risks
  • Continuously improve planning practices to reduce firefighting and enhance throughput
  • Collaborate proactively with Supply Chain to secure critical parts and escalate shortages based on production forecasts and manpower plans, ensuring production continuity and output targets

    Job requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree, often in business management, supply chain management, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in production planning, preferably in MRO or aerospace
  • Strong understanding of scheduling tools, ERP / MRP systems, and planning principles
  • Ability to model workforce requirements and translate forecasts into resource plans
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments
  • Experience managing dynamic or high-mix low-volume environments
  • Proficient in Excel; Power BI or scheduling automation experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English to ensure clear exchanges with clients, internal stakeholders, and suppliers around the world.
