Job Description

CIMA+ seeks a Senior Telecommunications Engineer specializing in active and passive network infrastructures (outdoor networks, FTTH). You will play a strategic role in planning, designing, and coordinating telecommunications projects, ensuring technical quality and performance. This role requires a solid understanding of telecommunications networks and experience managing multidisciplinary projects in a structured, collaborative environment. The position is hybrid, with flexible home office options across Quebec.

Primary Responsibilities

Design and produce plans and specifications for telecommunications projects, mainly in infrastructure architecture and outdoor networks (fiber optics, FTTH, backbone).
Supervise engineering deliverables with in-house teams (engineers, technicians, draftsmen).
Participate in tender document preparation and proposal analysis.
Contribute to strategic planning and project management, coordinating stakeholders and managing budgets and schedules.
Write technical reports and develop innovative technological solutions.
Mentor and support technical staff's professional development.
Collaborate with clients, partners, and stakeholders for effective communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or related field.

At least 10 years of relevant telecommunications engineering experience.

Experience with large-scale deployment projects is an asset.

Deep knowledge of active networks and external telecommunications networks (fiber optics, FTTH, backbone).

Proven project management experience.

Member in good standing with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).

Excellent bilingual communication skills in French and English.

Proficiency in design tools and specialized software (AutoCAD, GIS, etc.) is an asset.

PMP certification is an asset.
