Project Manager, Mobile Networks & Telecommunications

Reporting to the Director, Project Management Office (PMO), the incumbent will lead end-to-end delivery of major telecom projects, including 4G / 5G upgrades, RAN deployments, and Non-Terrestrial Network initiatives. The incumbent ensures cross-functional alignment, manages vendor coordination, and provides strategic oversight to support Terrestar’s evolving network roadmap.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for large-scale telecom initiatives, including 4G / 5G core network upgrades, RAN deployments, and mobile device integration.
• Identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and resolve bottlenecks to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
• Utilize data and KPIs to track project performance and drive continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to define project scope, technical requirements, and success metrics.
• Manage stakeholder communications, ensuring alignment across business units, vendors, and technical teams.
• Coordinate with external partners and equipment vendors to ensure seamless integration and deployment of network solutions.

Technical Oversight & Strategic Alignment (30%)

• Oversee the implementation of new network technologies and services, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and strategic direction to ensure projects align with Terrestar’s long-term network evolution roadmap.

Competency Profile and Minimum Requirements

Education / Experience / Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in telecom project management or network engineering.
• Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional telecom projects, including core network upgrades and RAN deployments.
• Experience with Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), satellite communications, or emerging wireless technologies is a strong asset.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 – for structured project management.

Other Qualifications

• Familiarity with vendor management, regulatory compliance, and cross-team collaboration in a telecom environment.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, PMP).
