Job Title : IT Procurement – Category Specialist

Location : Montreal, QC (Hybrid)

Type : Contract

We are seeking an experienced IT Procurement – Category Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing and supplier management, with a proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and execute strategic procurement initiatives. This position requires a hands-on professional with excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities :

• Support local IS&T projects (Saguenay and Kennecott) from a procurement perspective.
• Align procurement activities with the global indirect IT sourcing strategy where feasible.
• Lead or support sourcing initiatives including RFIs, RFPs, benchmarking, and internal cost analyses.
• Analyze business requirements to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies.
• Manage supplier selection, contract negotiation, and pricing discussions.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, procedures, and standards.
• Assist in supply chain and budget analysis as needed.
• Prioritize tasks effectively across two concurrent project teams.

Qualifications :

• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in IT categories.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bilingual (French and English) is required.
• Willingness and ability to travel to Saguenay (once a month).
• Experience in supplier relationship management and strategic sourcing.
• Understanding of procurement compliance and contract management.
