Job Description
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position Summary
Department / Research Program : Family Medicine / CERES (Centre for Relationships in Serious Illness) Lab
Dr. Sanders, Chief of the Division of Supportive and Palliative Care and Scientist at the RI-MUHC, conducts research at the intersection of serious illness, communication, and culture, with the goal of improving the quality of care and experience of those affected by serious and life-limiting illness. This research comprises a host of projects ranging from psychedelic medicine and communications research using virtual reality and AI to health systems level implementation research. We seek a motivated, self-sufficient, and organized individual with strong bilingual oral and written communication skills to support and grow with an innovative and multi-faceted research program.
Role
- Drafting and management of research ethics protocols (40%)
- Recruitment and coordination of study participants (20%)
- Liaise with study collaborators and maintaining project workflows (15%)
- Participation and note taking in weekly research lab meetings (25%)
- Opportunities to participate in drafting and publishing manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals
- Contributing to grant applications and reporting

Education / Experience
Education : Master's Degree
Field of Study : Psychology, Family Medicine, Computer Science
Other education considered an asset for this position : Interest or experience in use and programming of Virtual Reality, AI, and other immersive technologies is an asset.
Work Experience : 0-6 months

Status : Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale : $48,503.00 - $90,090.00. Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift : Flexible
Work Site : Department of Family Medicine, 5858 Chemin de Côte-des-Neiges
