Our Montreal based client is seeking an experienced Workday Integrations Specialist to join their project immediately and will run for until end of December 2026, with possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate should have extensive Workday experience with strong technical skills in project implementation, and deep expertise in Workday integrations including Workday Studio to support the Enterprise Apps HCM team. This will be a hybrid role with the exact amount of on-site scheduled days to be confirmed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop integrations between Workday and external systems.
- Build integrations using Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services/APIs.
- Develop inbound and outbound interfaces for employee, payroll, benefits, finance, recruiting, and other data.
- Configure Workday integration systems and business processes.
- Set up data transformations, calculated fields, integration attributes, and security requirements.
- Configure integrations with systems such as payroll providers, benefits platforms, HR systems, identity-management tools, and financial applications.
- Define source-to-target data mappings.
- Transform and validate data between Workday and third-party applications.
- Ensure data is complete, accurate, and formatted correctly for receiving systems.
- Perform unit, system, regression, and integration testing.
- Investigate failed integrations and resolve errors.
- Analyze integration logs and identify root causes.
- Support UAT and production deployment.
- Work with REST/SOAP APIs, Workday Web Services, XML, JSON, and XSLT where applicable.
- Develop or consume APIs to exchange data between Workday and external applications.
- Monitor scheduled integrations and resolve failures.
- Manage integration schedules and dependencies.
- Respond to incidents and support business users when integrations aren't processing correctly.
- Configure integration security and permissions within Workday.
- Work with authentication mechanisms such as certificates, OAuth, and other secure connectivity methods.
- Ensure integrations comply with organizational data-security requirements.
- Document integration architecture, data mappings, configurations, and technical specifications.
- Maintain runbooks and troubleshooting documentation.
- Document changes and releases.
- Work with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders to understand integration requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical integration solutions.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors during implementation and troubleshooting.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
