This newly created executive leadership role is pivotal in providing strategic direction across a wide range of areas, including communications, government relations, stakeholder engagement, media relations, marketing, and external affairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening the organization's profile, advancing strategic priorities, and positioning the company as a leading community teaching hospital and influential health system partner. Key responsibilities for the Chief include leading an integrated communications and external relations strategy, advancing a clear organizational narrative, and fostering modern communication and engagement practices. The role demands a highly strategic leader with the ability to operate effectively in a complex, high-profile, and fast-paced environment, and to provide sound counsel on issues management, external positioning, and advocacy. The ideal candidate will have a background in senior leadership within healthcare or similarly complex, multi-stakeholder environments, and will be adept at building credibility and alignment across a broad range of stakeholders. Experience in strengthening organizational profiles, leading integrated communication strategies, and navigating complex issues with political acuity is essential. The Chief will also be responsible for mentoring and supporting a high-performing team, and must therefore be a collaborative leader with strong relationship management skills.
