Our valued public sector client is looking for Sr. (Bilingual) Help Desk Specialist to provide on-site support of applications, desktops, and IT hardware for a Windows upgrade project.
Hourly rate range: $29.39/hr – $39.03/hr
This Windows 7-10 upgrade project requires on-site work, and opportunities exist in both Ottawa and Montreal. Once the project is complete, the opportunity exists for successful candidates to continue working on future projects.
Tasks include:
- Work directly with end-users to receive devices and determine what level of support is required for upgrades from Windows 7 to Windows 10
- In some cases, perform the required Windows 10 upgrades on existing devices
- In some cases, perform data backups and set up users with new machines
- Perform a variety of network problem analysis and monitoring tasks, such as
- Monitoring network management systems
- Responding appropriately to user requests and problems
- Develop, implement, and participate in the distribution of related information to users, such as
- Help desk procedures
- Handbooks and training material
Must have:
- Prior experience using an incident resolution system to track and resolve problems
- Bilingualism (English/French)
Nice to have:
- Experience with any of the following technologies:
- Active Directory Services (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Win and Domain Name System (DNS));
- Virtual Private Network (VPN);
- VMWare;
- Windows 10
- Assyst Enterprise IT Service Management Systems
- MS Office 13 Suite with Outlook
- Virtual Private Network (VPN)
- LAN and WAN environment
- McAfee Endpoint Solution
- Beyond Trust Remote Assistance
