Responsabilités futures et responsabilités

Our goal is to deliver quality, cost-effective IT infrastructure services aligned to customer needs while effectively managing operational risks and providing value-added, innovative solutions.

Vos responsabilités au quotidien

  • Installation, configuration, management and maintenance of databases
  • Responsible for database health, resiliency, performance tuning and optimization, operational control procedures, support and inventory
  • Work closely with developers and application production support to provide technical help
  • Participate in On-call, handle alerts and escalations during business hours and off-hours, including weekends and holidays on a rotational basis
  • Setup and maintain Database backup and recovery procedures
  • Provide technical documentation
  • Support and implement database changes, ensure quality of the changes
  • Perform capacity planning for the databases
  • Implement and help other team members with group/team strategy

Qualifications requises

Profil

  • Experience working in a large, 7x24, Investment Bank
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, disciplined, professional, and a team player able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to present and explain technical information
  • Database management experience, including installation, maintenance, migration/upgrades, and database refreshes
  • Database architectural knowledge

Expérience requise

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Languages: English, French*
  • 6+ years hands-on experience on MSSQL (-)
  • 2+ years hands-on experience on Postgres
  • 3+ years hands-on experience on Oracle (19c, 12c) databases on Unix/Linux
  • 1+ years of development experience
  • Experience handling large databases
  • Experience with the Oracle Optimizer plans and hints
  • Experience with MSSQL performance tuning
  • Experience with building automation tools or APIs using Python
  • Experience with shell scripting and Linux script development

Compétences techniques

SQL Server / Oracle:

  • MSSQL –, Cluster, AlwaysOn, Postgres, Oracle 19C
  • RAC, ASM, DataGuard, RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • Unix shell scripting, Linux Operating system
  • Windows server operating system / cluster
  • EMC-SAN technologies, Experience in Agile Methodology

Development:

  • PowerShell knowledge
  • Python knowledge
  • Unix shell scripting
  • Knowledge in Agile Methodology

Desired / Plus:

  • MSSQL in Azure
  • Oracle management
  • GoldenGate
  • Experience in other RDBMS (Cassandra, MongoDB, …)

Desired / Plus:
- Certification in Database administration

The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,–$,00. This role is an existing vacancy.
