The Role We're looking for an SEO Specialist to own organic search growth for our in-house software products. You'll take what we've built and make sure the right people find it — through smart keyword strategy, sharp on-page execution, and content that actually ranks. This isn't a traditional agency SEO role. We move fast, we think in internet culture, and we expect our software to grow the same way our campaigns do: organically, efficiently, and at scale. You'll work closely with our product and content teams to build search visibility from the ground up — and keep it compounding month over month. What you'll do - Own the full SEO strategy for Heave's in-house software products — from technical audits to content roadmaps - Conduct keyword research to identify high-intent, high-opportunity search terms aligned with our product and audience - Optimize on-page elements (titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, page structure) across the product - Build and execute a content strategy designed to rank — blog posts, landing pages, comparison pages, and more - Develop and execute link-building strategies to grow domain authority over time - Monitor, analyze, and report on organic performance using tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, and Google Search Console - Identify and fix technical SEO issues (crawlability, site speed, schema markup, Core Web Vitals, etc.) - Stay on top of algorithm updates and adjust strategy accordingly What we're looking for - 3–5 years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally for a SaaS product, consumer app, or tech company - Proven track record of growing organic traffic — bring examples, numbers, and the story behind them - Strong command of SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, or similar) - Solid understanding of both technical SEO and content-driven SEO — you can audit a site and brief a writer - Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where strategy needs to adapt quickly - You think in terms of compounding growth, not vanity metrics - Bonus: experience with programmatic SEO, SaaS growth loops, or scaling organic at an early-stage company
