Job Description
Title Suggestion: IT Project Manager – Data Migration, Integration
Location: Montreal & Mirabel, Quebec – Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Role Overview:
Technical Project Manager responsible for leading end-to-end migration and integration delivery across data, applications, security, and infrastructure workstreams within a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Program & Delivery Management:
• Own end-to-end migration and integration delivery across data, applications, security, and infrastructure workstreams
• Manage program roadmap, milestones, dependencies, risks, and executive governance for predictable delivery
• Provide executive-ready reporting including RAID logs, KPIs, dashboards, and status decks
• Use Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps to deliver in Agile/Hybrid SDLC environments with strong documentation discipline
Data Migration & Strategy:
• Lead full data migration lifecycle including source-to-target mapping, ETL coordination, validation, reconciliation, and sign-off
• Define migration strategies (full, incremental, parallel runs), cutover, rollback, and hyper care models
• Ensure strong data quality controls such as profiling, cleansing, auditability, and traceability
Integration & Middleware:
• Drive API integrations (REST/SOAP), interface contracts, payload standards, and testing using tools like Postman
• Manage MFT/B2B integrations using secure protocols (SFTP, AS2, PGP, TLS) and trading partner onboarding
• Coordinate middleware platforms such as Axway, IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, or Connect: Direct
Testing & Deployment:
• Own integrated testing strategy including SIT, E2E, UAT, defect triage, and release readiness
• Plan and execute production cutovers with runbooks, command centre coordination, and hyper care support
Stakeholder & Governance:
• Translate business objectives into technical delivery outcomes through stakeholder workshops and JAD sessions
• Align Data/Eng/Sec/Ops/vendors; drive decisions and accountability via RACI/governance
• Run workshops/JADs, steering committees, and go/no-go meetings effectively
Risk, Security & Communication:
• Ensure security-by-design compliance covering encryption, access controls, certificates, and regulated data (PII/MNPI)
• Proactively manage delivery risks such as data loss, interface failures, and vendor dependencies
• Handle client concerns on data accuracy, downtime, and security with calm assurance
• Escalate with impact + options + recommendation (not just the problem)
• Negotiate trade-offs (speed vs risk) while preserving relationships
Execution Excellence:
• Break ambiguity into actions, identify dependencies, and remove blockers fast
• Set realistic timelines, scope boundaries, and success criteria; avoid surprises
• Coordinate command centre, communications, and hyper care with discipline
• Maintain crisp status, RAID, KPIs, and clear “so what / now what” updates
