As a Senior Technical Level Designer on Blight Survival, you will act as the technical backbone of the Level Design team, ensuring gameplay content is robust, scalable, and performant. You will bridge creative intent and technical execution by owning data structures, tools, and workflows that enable efficient content creation. Working within a small, highly collaborative team, you will wear multiple hats and play a key role in maintaining technical quality across the project.

Responsabilités

In this role you will :

  • Implement gameplay scenarios using the existing toolset, including checkpoints, objectives, enemy spawns, and special events.
  • Own and maintain the technical structure of level design data and content systems before handoff to the Level Design team.
  • Collaborate closely with programmers, designers, artists, and animators to align technical solutions with the game vision.
  • Review blueprints, prefabs, and technical setups to optimize performance, reduce bugs, and ensure scalability.
  • Act as a technical reference for the Level Design team, balancing creative ambition with performance and budget constraints.
  • Support debugging, bug fixing, strike teams, and cross‑disciplinary investigations throughout production.

Exigences

What we're looking for :

  • 5+ years of professional experience or at least one shipped PC or console AAA title, including 3+ years in a technical design role.
  • Strong technical background with experience in scripting and a solid understanding of programming paradigms.
  • Expert‑level proficiency with Unreal Engine, including Blueprint scripting and editor workflows.
  • Experience working on multiplayer or co‑op titles, with a strong understanding of replication and network communication.
  • Proven experience with performance profiling, optimization, and technical debugging.
  • Experience on open‑world, systemic, procedural gameplay, or AI‑driven content is considered a strong asset.
