The Ideal Candidate
This position primarily provides English to French translation, French to English translation, operational support, revision and proofreading, management of Sales, Operations, Training, Visual Merchandising, Merchandising and Marketing tools and content needed for communication to our retail stores. As the company’s French language specialist, you will assist other team members with any inquiries they may have.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Translate texts from English to French.
- Revise all texts according to standards and brand image of the company.
- Write short letters, memos, etc.
- Adapt slogans, themes, web content, newsletters and signage for advertising in a creative manner according to the brands image.
- Translate manuals, applications, LMS and other program content.
- Provides support to all Journeys Group departments as needed.
- Provide bilingual text for Quebec customers and employees.
- Comply with OQLF standards.
- Provides immediate response to the Operations Coordinator, Senior Operations Coordinator, Operations Director, VP of Operations, Sales, Loss Prevention and Senior Leadership.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills You’ll Need to Have
- University Degree or experience in French Translation
- Flexibility and autonomy
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills in English and French
- Strong interpersonal, planning and organization skills
- Strong PC skills to include Microsoft Word, Adobe and PowerPoint
- Ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail and ability to work within strict deadlines
- 12-month temporary position
