Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Software Developer (Level 4 – Advanced) with strong expertise in Python scripting, Java development, and REST API integrations. This role focuses on automation, integration workflow development, and data synchronization between Rally and Jira, as well as other enterprise IT systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in coding, system integration, troubleshooting, and automation, and will work closely with cross-functional Agile teams to support and onboard business squads to the Rally platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Automate and configure workflows and data synchronization between Rally and Jira using APIs
• Develop scripts to extract data from enterprise IT systems such as PPM+ and ServiceNow
• Generate reports and support data analysis needs across integrated platforms
• Ensure uptime, performance, reliability, and scalability of the Rally product
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to Rally–Jira integrations
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to onboard business squads and fleets onto Rally
• Support integration workflows and continuous improvement initiatives
• Follow SDLC best practices and contribute to DevOps-driven automation efforts
• Manage source code using version control systems such as Git or Bitbucket

Required Skills

• 7–15 years of hands-on software development experience
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and API-based system integrations
• Experience integrating data across multiple IT systems where APIs are available
• Strong experience working with JSON and other API data formats
• Experience working in Tomcat and PostgreSQL database environments
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience managing code using Git, Bitbucket, or equivalent version control tools
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Experience working with Rally and Jira APIs for workflow automation and data synchronization
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working with Agile teams using Atlassian Jira

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Groovy scripting
• Experience with ConnectALL (Broadcom)
• Exposure to DevOps practices and automation pipelines
