The Research Practical Nurse provides assistance to clinical research coordinators during visits to research subjects.

This role will be perfect for you if:

  • You have a Licensed Practical Nurses degree;
  • You have an interest for the clinical research;

RESPONSABILITIES

More specifically, the Auxiliary Nurse will:

  • Support the Coordinator during research patient’s visits: perform vital signs, ECG, weight / height measurement and venipuncture;
  • Support the Coordinator during research patient’s visits for certain special techniques and complete the research source documents accordingly;
  • Participate in the administration of the study medication;
  • Maintain devices and exam rooms;
  • Prepare the days of visits;
  • Understand and apply internal procedures;
  • Keep personal training file up to date.

This is a full time temporary role until end of February. Please note that it will include some occasional shifts on Saturdays and evenings (schedule will be made in advance)

IDEAL PROFILE

Education

  • CPR certificate;

Experience

  • Experience working with patients;
  • Experience in clinical research in an asset;

Knowledge and skills

  • French / English bilingualism (oral and written);
  • Knowledge of good clinical practice (GCP);
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel-Word);
  • Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly;
  • Adaptability ;
  • Likes teamwork;
  • Ability to work on several tasks at the same time;
  • Integrity, diligence and thoroughness;
  • Autonomy
