What You'll Be Doing
- Execute on-page and off-page SEO audits, monitor their implementation, and ensure the growth of the Air Canada Vacations product lines.
- Create synergies between SEA campaigns and SEO.
- Work closely with eCommerce and development teams to ensure all technical recommendations are implemented correctly and efficiently, including writing technical specs and ensuring QA of implementations within the sprints.
- Support requirements by clear business value and measurable impact, to ensure proper prioritization by product owners and developers.
- Design and own the holistic SEO and organic growth strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Develop advanced keyword, intent and semantic content strategies to capture demand across the customer journey, from inspiration to booking.
- Work hand-in-hand with the in-house copywriting/content team to brief, refine, and optimize high-quality travel content.
- Deeply understand the travel industry landscape, seasonality, competitor activities and product offerings to identify and capitalize on new organic opportunities.
- Establish clear KPIs, monitor performance daily and accurately measure the ROI of all SEO initiatives, presenting results and insights to leadership.
- AEO/Generative AI: Research and integrate optimization techniques for AI-powered search results and travel planning tools, preparing our site for the future of search (rich answers, knowledge graphs, high-quality, trustworthy data).
What You Bring To The Team
- Minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience in an SEO role, preferably within the travel, eCommerce, or high-transaction volume industry.
- Proven expertise in advanced technical SEO concepts.
- Expert-level proficiency with SEO tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to use data to justify requests, secure developer time, and articulate business value to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with collaboration in cross-functional teams, including technical implementation projects with IT stakeholders.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Strong understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS) architecture, specifically in an eCommerce environment.
- Familiarity with Data Studio/Looker Studio for reporting, an asset.
- Previous experience working in an Agile development environment, an asset.
- Experience with Jira, an asset.
- Experience in travel industry specifically with tour operator, a strong asset.
- Bilingual – English and French.
