Alpine Macro is seeking Research Analysts to join our growing team in Montreal. The Analysts will assist in the research, development, and production of Alpine Macro's global investment research.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct in-depth economic and investment research and analysis.
- Collaborate with the research team on idea generation.
- Provide creative and strategic input into publication content.
- Keep abreast of market and industry news.
- Analyze and manage financial data.
- Research and produce charts.
- Work closely with layout & design team in publishing process.
- Assist in proofreading publication prior to release.
- Monitor key developments in assigned markets.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of chart databases.
- Assist with special projects and other initiatives, as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Preferably 3-5 years relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Economics, Finance. CFA is an asset.
- Superior quantitative and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, organized, and strong team player.
- Proficiency in financial applications for data analysis (e.g., Bloomberg, DataStream, eViews, Macrobond).
