Job Description
The Financial Crimes Technology (FCT) IT organization, among other things, is responsible for the support of the Firm's Anti Money Laundering (AML), Enterprise Client Risk Ranking (ECRR), Single Client View (SCV), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) Sanction Screening programs, and Negative News Screening programs. The AML, Sanctions Screening & NNS programs are supported by an application suite that enables surveillance of firm and client activity, customer identification, as well as ensuring the Firm's compliance with various regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work on existing and new initiatives within the Negative News suite of applications, including customizations for evolving business needs.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy code following SDLC standards.
- Communicate well with global teams, adapt rapidly, and learn fast.
- Exercise sound judgment to understand complex business use cases, design appropriate solutions, develop underlying implementation, and leverage team strength for application success.
- Apply financial domain knowledge, understanding of AML and Customer Risk ranking quantitative methodologies (advantageous).
Skills required
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with Core Java, Advanced Java, Spring Boot, RESTful/web services, XML, REST, SOAP, JSON.
- Strong database design skills including SQL, procedures, and query tuning.
- Service design concepts, OO and functional development concepts.
- Agile development methodologies.
- DevOps tools & methodologies.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional approach.
Skills desired
- Microservices concepts and high-quality software architecture and design methodologies such as SOA.
- Read and create design and process flow diagrams.
- Linux and Shell Scripts (PERL, Python, etc.).
- Angular UI is a plus.
Technology stack
- Java, Spring, Angular, Apache/Tomcat, Hadoop, DB2, Hibernate, and other libraries.
Methodologies
- Agile methodologies including Scrum, Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
