Job Title
French Integration Teacher – Elementary School (Grades 5 and 6)
Status & Workload
Full Time, 100% (replacement contract December 2025 to June 2026)
Main Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging learning experiences and assessments aligned with the Ministry of Education programs and the School’s educational vision.
- Apply innovative, inclusive, and student‑centered teaching strategies that promote French language acquisition, differentiated instruction, and active participation.
- Foster a positive, respectful classroom environment that encourages confidence, curiosity, collaboration, and a love of learning.
- Support students in developing oral and written proficiency in French while deepening their understanding and appreciation of Francophone culture.
- Collaborate effectively with the teaching team, sharing observations and updates on student progress as needed.
- Uphold and promote the School’s mission, vision, values, and educational policies.
- Participate in meetings, parent‑teacher conferences, and school events outlined in the pedagogical calendar.
Skills, Experience and Attributes Required
- Bachelor’s of Education in Kindergarten and Elementary Education.
- Brevet or qualifying Master’s degree in progress.
- Experience teaching French as a second language at the primary level.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in French.
- Ability to adapt to different teaching contexts and maintain a structured, supportive environment.
- Commitment to growth, collaboration, and student well‑being.
- Bilingualism (French & English) is an asset.
