DevOps Engineer at US Mobile

Join us as a DevOps Engineer at US Mobile. This role focuses on bridging development and operations to ensure reliable software delivery in a rapidly expanding connectivity platform.

Base Pay Range

CA$140,000.00 / yr - CA$200,000.00 / yr

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud‑based infrastructure on AWS to support applications and services.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve robust CI / CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Develop monitoring solutions and proactive alerts to ensure availability, performance, and security of applications, services, and infrastructure.
  • Implement security best practices and maintain compliance with industry standards.
  • Automate configuration management across environments (development, staging, production).
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—developers, system administrators, and QA—to foster a DevOps culture.
  • Investigate production incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to improve system stability.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in applications and infrastructure to enhance responsiveness and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Experience with GitOps and ArgoCD for continuous delivery.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Solid understanding of CI / CD concepts and experience with tools such as Tekton, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

  • AWS Solutions Architect certification.
  • Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with database administration and management.
