ROLE TITLE : Capgemini Invent, Consultant - Financial Services - Risk Management, Montreal, QC

YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant with a strong background in Financial Services and Consulting. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience and possess a deep understanding of banking products, processes, organization, regulation, and risk management. This role requires expertise in project management and transformation within the banking industry. This role is based in Montreal, QC, Canada.

As Part Of The Team, You Will Be Supporting Our Clients In Their Transformation Journey And Will Be Involved In Projects Such As:

  • Large scale IT transformation program, coordinating with business, operations, and IT teams to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Turning the organization client-centric, from offer design to UX design to organization changes.
  • Designing new operating models and optimizing the efficiency of business processes, through a better use of data, automation, and digitization.
  • Designing and implementing sourcing strategy, onshore/offshore, Global Competence Center.
  • Remediation program: supporting internal audits and closing internal audit or regulatory recommendations.
  • Providing insights and recommendations to improve risk management practices, particularly in areas such as operational risk, resiliency risk, IT risk, data privacy risk, regulatory risk, and cybersecurity risk.
  • Developing and implementing control frameworks to enhance operational risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Work in consultant teams and actively participate in creating value for our clients through various projects.
  • Support managers in delivering project assignments, and play a role in managing client relationships.
  • Provide fact-based recommendations through research, interviews, and workshops, and present these through business proposals and slide presentations.
  • Leverage your expertise and network to drive our service offerings and participate in the pursuit of new business opportunities (development of offerings, proposal preparations, contract negotiations).

You will perform other duties as assigned, including supporting internal projects, research, and business development.

This employment is for a duration of 3 years maximum.

Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or Engineering; a Master’s degree in a related field is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of banking processes, its operating environment, and regulations.
  • 2-8 years of working experience in the Financial Services industry, of which 2 years were spent in strategy/management consulting (either through work with a consulting firm, or in internal projects), ideally with a track record in one or several of the following fields:
  • Operational and Regulatory Risk.
  • Business transformation and change management (lean management, re-engineering).
  • Ability to leverage PowerBi for data analytics.
  • Risk and Finance and/or Product Control.
  • Rigorous project management skills and autonomy, able to navigate complex clients.
  • Very good analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency to conduct business meetings in French and English.
  • Willing to travel up to 80% of time.
  • Experience with SAP and JIRA.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and proactive drive.

YOUR PROFILE

  • 3-10 years of experience consulting and/or Financial Services.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking products, processes, and organization.
  • Strong understanding of regulation and risk management practices in financial services, with a focus on operational risk, resiliency risk, IT risk, data privacy risk, or cybersecurity risk.
  • Proven project management experience, with the ability to work effectively with both business/operations and IT teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in French language is mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
