The Role

As a Senior Software Developer, Tech Lead, you will be a key technical leader within an agile team, focusing on the operational health and resilience of our ecommerce platform. You will drive the operational aspects of the storefront and backend systems, acting as a pillar for a team of front-end and back-end developers to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will own the performance and resilience of multiple products, becoming an authority on business processes and the value they create. You will work with a domain- and event-driven architecture that is scalable and reactive, deployed in the cloud, using real-time data.

What You Will Do

• Be a senior member of the development team, ensuring operational excellence of the storefront and backend systems.
• Lead investigation and resolution of complex, multi-system incidents with thorough root-cause analyses to design durable, preventative solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical initiatives with business goals and operational needs.
• Coordinate with other leads, senior developers, and engineering managers to address systemic issues and improve system health.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying architectural risks and implementing long-term solutions.
• Ensure product resilience through test automation and improved CI/CD processes.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and planning; communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences and anticipate communication breakdowns to resolve them proactively.

Who You Are

• 6+ years of professional experience with modern programming languages, preferably in ecommerce (e.g., React, Python, NodeJS). Either strong frontend with some backend experience or vice versa.
• 4+ years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Deep understanding of web analytics, accessibility, and SEO.
• Solid knowledge of software design patterns and architectures (e.g., layered, event-driven).
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Ability to mentor junior developers and lead technical discussions.
